Back to Work Forecast

A beautiful forecast is in store for us today, but our rain chances will increase come Tuesday. Hello, I'm Meteorologist, Lauren Whisenhunt.

It was a chilly start to our Monday morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 20's to upper 30's. We will see sunny skies to begin our work week with winds becoming more southerly this afternoon. Daytime highs will in the low 60's.

Tonight, clouds will begin to increase ahead of an approaching cold front. Lows will dip to the mid 40s by nights end.

Another developing storm system off to the west will come our way on Tuesday. This will bring us a decent chance of rain as early as the afternoon hours tomorrow. The question right now is, "Will we have any severe weather?" Well, right now the answer is, "It doesn't look likely." The atmosphere will not be very unstable as this front approaches. We should just see some scattered showers and a few thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night and possibly lingering into the morning on Wednesday. Of course, we will continue to monitor the situation for you as this next rain maker comes our way.

For the rest of the work week, sunshine will return on Wednesday along with cooler temperatures in the lower 50s. Thursday will be quite pleasant with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 60s.

Another system will approach us later in the week into the weekend to give us a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. We will keep you updated.
