Clearing Skies and Cooler Temps this Afternoon

We will begin to see clearing conditions by the afternoon hours after a strong system moved through earlier this morning. Hello, I'm Meteorologist, Lauren Whisenhunt.

A powerful storm system rolled through central Alabama this morning, bringing with it severe weather. The CBS 42 Weather Team was here through the overnight hours to provide you and your loves ones with up to date information as it became available. Thankfully, the system is now moving out of the CBS 42 viewing area and we will begin to see clearing conditions throughout the rest of the day.

Expect a chance for showers before noon today with partly cloudy skies during the afternoon hours. Winds will be breezy today out of the West 10-20 mph. Temperatures will also be dropping throughout the rest of the day as colder air is filtering into the deep south behind this strong cold front that is now moving to the East of us. Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies with overnight lows around 32.

Tomorrow, high pressure will build in and temperatures will return to normal for this time of year. Daytime highs will be near 56 degrees with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.
